Ask these important questions:
.) Is a contract required? If so check out the terms carefully.
.) Does the gym offer a trial membership/ free pass? Try before you buy!
.) Are staff members certified and knowledgeable? Look for trainers with degrees or certifications, also make sure staff is knowledgable.
.) How old is the equipment and is there a good variety? Exercise equipment is constantly changing, look for a club that is up to date.
.) Is it clean? Make sure locker rooms are clean and there are cleaning products available for the equipment.
.) When is the gym open? Make sure the club offers hours that make it easy to fit your schedule.
.) Which services cost extra? There may be additional charges for mats, towels, even some classes.
.) Check out the class schedule? Check to see what classes are offered and when, also pool, tennis and racquet times.
.) Do they offer child care? Check to see if the gym offers child care, if there is a fee and the times someone will be there.
.) Will the club waive the initiation fee? To stay competitive gyms will sometimes waive initiation fees or offer special deals to new members.
